Are there other things that you are giving up in order to write? (A relationship, perhaps?) There's a possibility that a better, easier, more satisfying alternative is available to you in what you are about to give up.
Artistically, there's a sense here of a quest that hasn't quite got off the ground. It's as if you haven't found the direction yet that you need to explore. There is plenty of energy, but the form or direction into which this should be channelled doesn't seem clear. It might be worth considering whether the correct direction lies in exploring topics with your writing that have to do with spiritual themes, or with awakening and inspiring others.
